My main blog right now is at http://international-dba.blogspot.com It has 428 published posts (as usual, click on the image to enlarge it and bring it into focus):
I would like to have more page views. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be willing to help me for a fee but I would like to do this myself. I am working through Search Engine Optimization for Dummies by Peter Kent. It is advertised at the end of this post.
On page 26, the book says that I can see what Google has in its index for my site by typing site:international-dba.blogspot.com in the search box so I decided to give it a try. Once the results had appeared, I went to the last page to see exactly how many results had been found:
The answer was 417. Bearing in mind that some of the blog entries are recent and may not have been indexed yet, this is very close to the total number of posts on the blog. So it appears that my site is indexed properly by Google.
You can use the same syntax on Yahoo so I tried it there too but only found 108 results:
